Now society faces the issue that in a performance-driven world increasingly focused on achievement and efficiency, “hobbies” are often reduced to quantified “productive tasks,” losing their inherent joy and leisure value in the pursuit of measurable outcomes. This interactive installation design urges participants to confront the loss of self under performance discipline, sparking reflection on what true self-worth really is.

Inspired by personal experience of existential emptiness—we often dismiss trivial daily moments like zoning out, sipping warm drinks or watching cats as “meaningless,” and sink into spiritual distress. This project aims to move beyond “fighting emptiness,” guide people to rediscover the value of ordinary life, turn emptiness from a burden into soil for nurturing meaning through collective resonance.

Nutrisphere—We want mealtime to feel like a fun adventure with a “Nutrition Sprite” by their side: kids get to customize their sprite, build a virtual Food Pyramid with friends, and slowly learn to love trying new foods, no nagging needed. For parents, it’s a chance to stop being “the enforcer” and start being a buddy—exploring nutrition facts together, so every meal nourishes not just their kids’ bodies, but their bond too.

Global childhood speech disorder prevalence is on the rise, with early intervention being highly significant. Numerous studies show many preschoolers face speech/communication challenges of varying severity—these issues not only affect clear expression but also hinder cognitive development, socialization, and academic performance. Domestic pediatric speech rehabilitation services remain underdeveloped. Thus, I aim to design a professional, user-friendly, efficient children’s speech rehabilitation system, offering hope to affected children and their families.
